Winter blues, spring's upon us

These aren't the greatest of outfits for blog pictures, but the lighting and the composition were pretty cool.  The winter is fading away quickly, and I have a feeling we are in for a sweltering summer.... Here's to the end of my favorite season, I'll soon be boxing up my Uggs and pulling out my flip flops :)

So, it's the end of the month, and I have yet again failed to blog as much as I wanted to.  Hopefully, I will begin the month of March with new goals in mind. (Says the most dedicated procrastinator.) After paying some bills, doing my taxes, watching the Oscars, and suffering a headache, I put together a blog post that made me smile.  

In love with stripes

It's been a long time since I made a blog post, so I have finally broken my silence with my new favorite t-shirt.  I'm obsessed! I'm notorious for buying anything that is striped, and this was the epitome of my addiction.  Not sure what I love more, the color combo, or the misalignment of the stripes.  The second I saw it I was in love....

I recently read that sparkle is the new neutral.  I agree! I've had these flats for a year now, and I think I should put them to more use. 

Yellow Fever

Most people think that they shouldn't wear the color yellow, but rest assured people!  This is mustard yellow, and it works with most skin tones.  This poncho works great with skinny jeans, and a great print pop underneath, giving a little mod punch. 

Jason Wu for Target

Jason Wu is the next designer to lend a hand to Target's apparel section, keeping our wallets happy and our wardrobe even more ecstatic! I love the preppy clean feel to these stripes and florals, all with a modern feel. 

Move it, move it!

Spring is not quite here yet, but I'm excited to see all these pretty new neutrals in all kinds of textures.  These are easy to wear, but beware of looking too washed out.  Pick ones that have different textures, or accessorize to break up the outfit a bit. Check these out!
